This nesting box is handmade from the trunk of a birch tree. It requires no assembly and has a removable lid to ensure ease of cleaning and maintenance. It is aerodynamically more versatile than a flat pack plywood box and can even be hung from a branch or attached to the trunk of an existing tree in your garden. The birch bark is a perfect camouflage against predators and makes the box aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
The hole entrance is 35 mm which is smaller than the larger box above. This will tend to be used by Great tits, Blue tits and Coal tits and is less attractive to house sparrows and tree sparrows. The entrance is too small for starlings.
